Panasonic TX-55LX650E is not one of those models that we all want to buy when we get to know the smart world and we have yet to change our TV but without much pretense, just to make a good change because it’s time. It has a bit of everything, enough to satisfy the general needs of today’s user but it’s not premium in any way, so congratulations! neither is its price.

Design and connectivity of the Panasonic TX55LX650E
Panasonic TX-55LX650E is one more model of many in terms of design. It is not ugly at all but it does not have anything to highlight either.
It does not have plastic edges on the panel but has a back on which it rests. Where we do find an edge is, as it happens in many models, in the lower area; here we have the Panasonic logo. This, like the rest of the device, is black .
And although it has a nice front, all that disappears when you see it in profile and from behind. From the side, the model is quite thick because of the speaker arrangement.
The model measures 1233 x 769 x 221 mm and weighs 17 kilos . The base is included here, which consists of a very thin rectangular central base with a nice finish , also in black. Panasonic has made sure that this TV is highly stable even though it is already a considerable inch.
If this does not convince you, you can always withdraw it. If you do, the panel will measure 1233 x 711 x 66mm and will weigh just 13.5kg. You can hang it if you have a 200 x 200 mm VESA .
Tuning and connectivity
Panasonic TX-55LX650E has dual WiFI and Bluetooth so you can connect to the Internet wirelessly (and also to pair other devices). Of course, you have the option of using cable by connecting with the RJ45 plug .
Other connections are a 3.5 mm jack, the CI+ slot, antenna and satellite inputs, three HDMI 2.1 capable of supporting 4K at 60 Hz, eARC, ALLM, CEC and HDCP 2.2, a pair of USB 2.0 ports. and optical audio output .

The tuning of this model is complete. It has digital with satellite (S/S2) and double terrestrial (T/T2), cable (C) and analog (NTSC/PAL/SECAM) . In addition, version 2.0.2 of HbbTV and 1.4 of CI+ are introduced .
Image quality and general functions
Panasonic TX-55LX650E has a diagonal of 55 inches, which is, in exchange, 139 cm. This means that, at its 3840 x 2160 resolution , the pixel density per square centimeter is high at 31. The panel has a 30-bit matrix and a fake 10-bit color depth (FRC is used to add two of them) . The backlight, as Panasonic usually includes in this type of consumer television, is Edge LED .
The reproducible formats without quality loss included in the model are HDR HLG, GDR 10 and also Dolby Vision. Thus, the contrast is improved and the images look more complete, with details that gain significance thanks to the games of brightness and contrast.
On the other hand, we see that the TV can be configured in six modes to enjoy each video with the most appropriate specifications depending on the case. We have Standard, Dolby Vision, Vivid, Movie, Sport and Game .
Real Motion Rate is the frame interpolation technology that the firm adds to give a little push to the theme of refreshing images. In this model it is given in 1200 points for a frequency that can reach 60 Hz .
We have a processing with 4K Color Engine , nothing to write home about, and a contrast job that is also very normal if we ignore the HDR, being the already typical Panasonic High Contrast.
Audio
Our analysis model has a notable sound section, common in the mid-range that want to take a small step further.
We will start with the first thing that everyone looks for, and that is sound power. This is 20 W divided into two RMS speakers of 10 W each.
I love that despite keeping this spec modest, Panasonic has decided to include support for Dolby Atmos . In this way, the professional sound of Hollywood productions will be displayed as it is in your living room.
The highlight of the TV is that it has many audio modes that calibrate each of the points that determine how the content should sound: Sports, Game, Standard, Movies, Music…
Panasonic TX-55LX650 software/smartTV review
Like its little sister and several other models, it comes with Android and not the Panasonic system. Specifically, we find Android TV 11 , a very advanced version for televisions, really. The best? It is a much more complete system, intuitive, easy to use and quite fast. We find everything and we can configure the main screen with the accesses of those apps or content that we always want to have at hand.
Thanks to the microphone and AI, you can now command your TV and ask it questions. In this case, it will be the Google assistant that will help you make everything easier and more enjoyable,
Sending content to the television from other devices, which is so fashionable and so comfortable when you can’t find the one you need in your app store, is possible thanks to the inclusion of Chromecast .
Of course, other options that we have always seen on almost any television and that we continue to find are a multitude of languages (35), voice guidance, EPG, 1000-page teletext, HDAVI control with CEC…
Even so, we see that Panasonic has put Android TV on its TVs without anything else, so we can’t give it an A+ yet. An example of this is that this model does not include a default browser. It can be a positive point if yes or yes you are going to change it, but it is cumbersome until you manage to get one.
oh! What is cool is that you have Google Play , the largest software store at the moment where you will find everything, from typical applications to games or purchase movies or music .
