Design and connectivity of the Panasonic TX-43LX650
Panasonic TX-43LX650E is not a spectacular model in terms of aesthetics . It is noted that it is one of many designed for the average user. Of course, it has me divided by the usefulness of its base.
It is all black, without frames above and on the sides (we do see a small black border corresponding to the panel itself) and a lower frame of medium thickness in which the Panasonic logo is included .
Although it looks quite nice from the front, the truth is that the profile is already very thick from the top, being in the middle and bottom too much for what we are used to seeing. Even so, of course, this is not one of those details that should practically not matter when making a purchase,
We see a central rectangular base in gloss black that perfectly secures the panel by means of a central half-threaded trunk fastening, making this a very stable television . It is somewhat logical considering that it weighs 3.5 kilograms.
With it, the TV has total measurements of 614 x 964 x 221 mm . If we remove it, in addition to weighing only 7.5 kilos, it will measure 540 x 964 x 68 mm . In this situation, logically, you will need a VESA device , 100 x 100 , with which to hang the panel on your wall.
On the back, a television in which no effort has been put into making it beautiful, which is appreciated, since the resources are used for other more important things and the price is cheaper.
The TV includes a control with micro and bluetooth as well as direct access to applications such as Prime, Google Play or YouTube, a Home, the voice assistant button and the usual ones, of course.
Tuning and connectivity
We have a wireless connectivity that goes through the inclusion of Bluetooth as well as dual WiFI Direct . Physically we find satellite, optical audio output, RJ45, a headphone jack, CI+ slot in 1.4, antenna, three HDMI 2.0 with ARC, eARC, HDCP 2.2 and CEC (two of them are on one side and the other on the rear area) and two USB also in 2.0.
We enjoy complete tuning with HbbTV 2.0.2, CI+ 1.4, cable and terrestrial DVB-T/T2/C , which plugs in on the side, and satellite DVB-S/S2 , which goes on the back, as well as analog tuning .
Image quality and general functions
The panel that incorporates the Panasonic TX-43LX650E is 108 cm, that is, 43 inches . Its resolution is UHD, with 3840 x 2160 pixels of 0.245 mm in size, and a density of 103 per inch. It has a 30-bit matrix while offering 10-bit skewed color depth via Frame Rate Control . The backlight is of the Edge LED type , offering viewing angles of 178 degrees.
We discovered a refresh rate of between 50 and 60 Hz as well as Panasonic’s own Real Motion Rate transition enhancement technology , which is given at 1200 units.
The model allows us to configure it in six video modes . These are Dolby Vision, Vivid, Sport, Movie, Game, or Standard.
It supports HDR HLG, HDR 10 and of course Dolby Vision . With this we make sure to enjoy contrasted and complete images even in the darkest areas, where the brightness and contrast will create details that would be imperceptible otherwise.
Its contrast technology is conventional, High Contrast, the video is processed with the 4K Color Engine and we do not find more technologies or functions that can improve the image.
The brand whispers to us that nature content will be the one that looks better, more detailed, without jumps or ghosting. Even so, we have to mention that the frequency of the model is 50 Hz, 60 Hz maximum if we use the enhancement modes.
Audio
Panasonic TX-43LX650E has a conventional audio section typical of a good mid-range.
Its sound power, 20 W , is divided into two speakers that do not reach more than two channels, without virtualization. The highest quality audio technology that supports lossless playback is Dolby ATMOS . Of course, you always have the option of pairing with a soundbar via cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth; that is not a problem.
What does stand out compared to many other brands is the number of audio modes available. These are Music, News, Stadium, Movie, Standard, User (custom), Smart…
Panasonic TX-43LX650E software/smartTV review
I couldn’t be happier to tell you that the Panasonic TX43LX650E doesn’t come with the Panasonic operating system but rather they have opted for Android , which is much more complete, fast, aesthetic and intuitive.
The chosen version is not bad at all, 11, leaving the model quite up-to-date, as we remember that Android versions on TV are always late. The interface is very simple, the one we see almost anywhere, and it divides the contents very well; working on it is a pleasure , really.
You have Google Assistant so that it helps you work with the TV at the touch of voice commands.
You also have Chromecast to connect other devices such as smartphones or laptops to the TV and see what you’re doing on it.
Of course, Android 11 comes with the famous Google Play Store app store , so you will not be dissatisfied with the number, variety or quality of the software. You can download games, apps for daily use, streaming content or even content from Google Music, Google Movies, etc.
Still, you have enough left to consider your software important. Things like compatibility with other assistants, a better chip, compatibility with Apple’s functionalities… After all, it’s an Android pelao’y montao’.
