Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N, the cheapest 39-inch TV

OLED, QLED, NanoCell … We are surrounded by great technologies for our home devices. However, we do not always have a loose budget or the use that is going to be given is simple. Thus, Nevir brings us the budget TV Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N. One of its most accessible models with a large 39-inch screen and HD Ready resolution. Although its low cost limits some aspects of the model, it offers a connectivity and sound section good for the range. We go over all the features of the Nevir 7702-39RD2-N in our review.

Design and materials

The design of the Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N is as simple as its datasheet. Being one of the cheapest models of the brand, we cannot expect slim or minimalist aesthetic lines, but that does not mean that it is not pretty. This television reminds us of televisions from about five years ago. Of course, the Screen frames are smaller than we might expect. The construction passes entirely to plastic with a gloss finish that spreads the whole a bit. Yes, it is not surprising, but it is quite attractive.

If we look at the description of the TV on their website, they tell us about a model slim. However, with the meter in hand, we note that his thickness is 8.9 cm. Perhaps its name is not entirely accurate, but let’s not forget that there are current televisions like the LG 70UN74003LA that exceeds this figure. Therefore, we cannot detract from the attempt by Nevir. Although the Nevir 7702-39RD2-N sits on two legs, is ready for placement on a VESA 200 × 200 support.

When attaching the legs, the TV has a height of about 6 cm, so a sound bar can be placed under the screen. At the back we also see the different connections it has. Integrated in such a way as to facilitate their placement on the wall. The right side of the TV consists of keys to turn on the TV, enter the settings, volume control, among others. The placement is well thought out for easy access, but perhaps too more visible than desired.

Image quality

First of all, the Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N is a television that mounts an LCD panel with a 39-inch diagonal. However, according to the manufacturer’s file, the resolution is HD Ready with a distribution of pixels of 1,366 x 768. This screen size is unusual, with 40 or 42-inch models being more frequent. In fact, looking at its specifications, we think it could be the same panel of the Nevir NVR-8061-39RD2S. In addition, its contrast ratio is 5,000: 1 and a brightness level of 160 cd / m2.

We also look at the Direct LED backlight of the LCD panel, which offers a good distribution of the luminosity with a correct result for the range. However, the level of brightness it provides can be poor in bright environments. And it is that its screen does not have any finish that eliminates light reflections. Within the settings menu we have the possibility to select different image modes, color temperature, among other values.

Integrated media player with remote control controls

Another aspect to consider is that it does not support HDR high dynamic range formats. Although with the price of the Nevir 7702-39RD2-N we did not expect it either. Lacking a technical processor, it does not have any image optimization functions, Smart TV, etc. For all these reasons, we recommend this model for a bedroom, kitchen, business, etc. Going up a step and better keeping a low budget we have the Nevir NVR-9000-32RD2S-SM.

Connectivity, Smart TV and sound

Regarding connectivity, the TV offers a simple section but with all the essentials. To start we see two HDMI 1.4 connectors for connecting devices such as game consoles. It includes a USB 2.0 connector prepared to record DTT programs and activate the Timeshift function. Thanks to it, we can pause the broadcast to continue later. Finally, it includes component video, coaxial for audio, headphone output and CI + 1.4 interface. On the other hand, it lacks Internet connectivity, as well as Bluetooth pairing.

Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N

Simple connectivity but with all the basics

As we discussed at the beginning of the review, the Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N does not include Smart TV functions. However, in this price range it is difficult to see it. For this reason, it does not include network connectivity options either. However, we can always take advantage of an external device such as a Chromecast or the streaming services of a current game console. In addition, these devices tend to be better optimized and updated than Smart TV systems over time.

To continue, the sound section is much better than expected. This Nevir 7702-39RD2-N equips a 2 x 10W RMS configuration. In addition, it includes a total of four EQ and surround sound modes. The result? Well, a basic outlet but sufficient for most consumers. Obviously, there are nuances that are lost and the level of depth in movies is not achieved. Something that can be remedied by taking advantage of the connection of a sound bar.

Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N availability and price

In conclusion, it is a simple and inexpensive TV with a 39-inch screen. In general, it is more than enough to be a secondary television in the home without involving a high outlay. If you are not going to consume services like Netflix either, you don’t have to pay for it either. Either way, the Nevir NVR-7702-39RD2-N delivers on the brand’s promise.

PROS:
