Exterior design and connectivity of the Hisense 65M7000

Hisense H65M7000 frame

With dimensions of 145 cm wide by 89 cm high, this television will become the center of attention in any living room, as long as it fits us on the furniture or wall, of course. And the fact is that if there is something that we cannot deny to this television, it is its elegant and minimalist design, at least in its most visible part, highlighting the thin aluminum frame that runs along the entire screen with just one centimeter thick. However, the total depth of this device taking into account the black plastic back housing that houses all the electronics and speakers is about 6 centimeters. Likewise, it has a discreet and nice chrome bottom bracket, in the form of four legs that, seen from above, forms a kind of “X” elongated or separated from its center.

Profile view of the Hisense H65M7000

As for connectivity is concerned, this Hisense H65M7000 model passes with outstanding, because not only does it have almost all the connections that a model of this size and price can be asked for, but they are also up to date in terms of their technical characteristics. Thus we find up to 4 HDMI connectors, two of which are version 2.0, the other two being v1.4. Also we have 3 USB sockets one of which is v3.0, so we will have no problem playing large files at the appropriate speed. To all this is added the connection Integrated WiFi, optical digital audio output, component video as well as composite with RCA audio jacks, scart, headphone jack and even an input called PC audio in 3.5 mm jack format.

Finally, it has the appropriate tuners and two coaxial sockets for both DVB-T / T2 digital terrestrial television and DVB-S / S2 satellite broadcasts, in addition to the already somewhat obsolete analogue tuning.

Image quality and features in general

This is where this big screen really shines 4K 3840 x 2160 pixels, because even though it is not an OLED panel, we are again facing a LCD display last generation with Led backlighting with local dimming, which allows adapting the brightness level in multiple areas of the screen as the images change or are presented, which together with Hisense proprietary image processing such as “Ultra Contrast” or “Ultra Wide Color Gamut”, provides images with higher contrast, color fidelity and response speed. It is what Hisense calls the Uled system and that being less expensive to manufacture than the OLED panel, it aims to compete with the bets of Samsung and LG among others.

Hisense H65M7000

The Hisense H65M7000 has good image quality

Like its 55 ″ younger sister, the Hisense 65M7000 features a 1200 Hz refresh rate SMR, although we must not forget that in reality they are 120 Hz of vertical synchronization, more than enough to reproduce digital television broadcasts, high-definition movies and video games. We see here how Hisense also joins the current trend among almost all manufacturers to sell “many hertz”.

In my view, two of the most important features of this television are the incorporation of the new HEVC video standard (H265.1) to enjoy high-definition and high-quality videos and broadcasts with lower bit rates, as well as an HDR system to improve the dynamic range of images. All this helped or rather managed, by its powerful QuadCore processor which is also responsible for all multimedia aspects of this television as we will see below.

In terms of sound, this television has an output power of 20W (2 x 10W Stereo), a typical value for this type of screen, although clearly insufficient for a television of this size that will surely also be used in a room. Large size. Of course, it is almost impossible to have ultra-slim-profile televisions with high-powered speakers (although better quality). The most logical and recommended thing is that having screens of this caliber, an external multi-channel sound system is used to match and, knowing this, manufacturers therefore provide their models with an “adjusted” sound system. However, it does incorporate Hisense into this model, some of the digital sound state-of-the-art like Dolby Digital Plus or the still little known Dolby Pulse.

In the energy section and with a declared consumption of 220 W, this model does not narrowly exceed the energy classification BAlthough it is not going to bring down our electricity bill, it is not among the best considering the competition.

Analysis of Smart TV software and functions

As we anticipated before, the Hisense H65M7000 has a powerful quad-core processor of the Cortex A7 / A17 type to give life in addition to our screen to the proprietary system of Smart tv from Hisense known as LIFE, a simple and intuitive system which has, among others, applications as popular as Netflix, YouTube, Amazon and WuakiTV, plus a web browser.

Likewise, this TV is capable of playing all kinds of multimedia content (through its ports USB 2.0 and 3.0) with almost all known image, audio and video formats, some unusual ones such as FLAC or VRO. This model also has the possibility of viewing HbbTV or “hybrid television” with online content in version 1.5, as well as the functions AnyviewCast and Anyview Stream to play games and content remotely from our mobile devices using the well-known DLNA system.
