Although it is something that no longer surprises anyone, considering that just a few days ago we saw the  trailer for Super Mario Bros: The Movie , the truth is that it is still interesting news. Nintendo has just unveiled its new production company,  Nintendo Pictures , which comes as a new division within the company, focused on creating audiovisual content such as movies or series.

Nintendo Pictures is born

Nintendo Pictures is born. A star has been born? It remains to be seen. But the truth is that the Japanese company is putting all the meat on the grill for this project to go ahead. With a volume that exceeds  100 employees , its first jewel in the crown goes through that Super Mario movie that will be released in the coming months and that aims to reconcile several generations: those of us who grew up with the first dawn of the Italian plumber, with more pixels of the account, and those who have already met a Super Mario in all definition.

Apparently, it is the name change of the production company Dynamo Pictures , which was acquired by Nintendo this summer. Dynamo Pictures was founded in 2011 and specialized in projects related to video games and computer animation. Therefore, it fits perfectly into the Nintendo line. This purchase involved a disbursement of  34.5 million yen  and will mean a new direction for his studies.

The contents will use Nintendo licenses to give a new twist to those main and also secondary characters, less known by the general public.

In the absence of knowing what its next content will be, the arrival of Nintendo Pictures is great news for fans of this iconic video game company, which, although it seems somewhat modern to us, already has more than 130 years of history behind it .
